In 1995 at age of 14, Petra Blazkova went to  one of the best Equine colleges in Kladruby nad Labem in the Czech Republic. Kladruby nad Labem is known for their National Stud Farm, one of the oldest still operating stud farms in Europe and listed on the UNESCO World Heritage List as of 2019.

During her time at the college Petra had the opportunity to learn everything about breeding horses and she extended her riding skills and learnt how to drive a carriage. She also successfully passed her exam as a fully qualified riding instructor.

In 1999, after successfully finishing college Petra started working at a racing yard Pavel Dvur for the trainer Filip Neuberg to broaden her skills further. Her job was to exercise the racehorses as well as competitively race some of them. She also gained a lot of experience with retraining ex-racehorses so they could be rehomed.

During this time Petra got offered to work for a couple of months at a racing yard in Germany to continue her successful work with racehorses, ex-racehorses and horses with behavioural issues.

In 2007 after 8 years Petra decided it was time to move on but also, she had now found her real passion in dressage and jumping. She started working at JS Javornik for the trainer Pavel Mack and mainly with young horses and quickly became successful in young horse classes.

In 2009 Petra moved to the UK and started working at different Dressage and Show jumping specialist yards like Linda Keenan and Kenneth Dyrby, Tracy Priest and Lynn Russell.

In 2012 Petra decided to set up her own business PB Equestrian and is now based in West End, Surrey.
